Goal: when you're signed in as an admin of your homeserver, Vommet notices and offers server-admin features.

Suggested by a tester who runs a homeserver.

The problem

The Matrix client API has no standard "am I a server admin?" call. Each server does it its own way:

  • Synapse: GET /_synapse/admin/v1/users/{userId}/admin.
  • Tuwunel / conduwuit / continuwuity: admins are members of the #admins:<server> room; commands go through the admin room.
  • Dendrite and others: different again.

So this is per-server-implementation work. Synapse first is the realistic start.

Needs info

What should admins be able to do? (User management, registration tokens, room/report review, server notices, media cleanup...) Overlaps with room/space moderation in #59, which is not server-wide.

The homeserver support/donation link (#88) deliberately does not depend on this.
