    Testing build. Expect rough edges. Vommet is an LLM-assisted fork of Commet. Please report problems on this repo's issue tracker, never on Commet's.

    Built from the testing branch at commit 558f413. The Linux and Android files are the ones CI built and tested for this exact commit (build, unit and integration tests passed).

    New since testing-2026-10-07c

    • Fixes the crash at launch in testing-2026-10-07, 07b and 07c (a startup bug from the splash-screen change). If you installed one of those, install this over it.
    • Pick which audio a screen share carries (Linux, #4): the Screen Share dialog has an Audio dropdown: No audio, All apps (except Vommet), or one app that is playing audio, chosen separately from the window or screen you share. On Wayland, where the system picker chooses the video, a short audio-only step comes first. Your last choice is kept until you close Vommet. Windows still shares all system audio.

    Everything from 07c is included: noise suppression (experiment), native OIDC sign-in, faster startup, screen share with sound on Linux, optional diagnostics.

    Install

    Linux (Flatpak, x86_64)

    flatpak install --user ./vommet-testing-x86_64.flatpak
flatpak run im.nether.chat

    Android (arm64): download vommet-testing-arm64.apk and open it. It installs as an update.

    Windows (x64): download vommet-testing-windows-x64.zip, unzip it anywhere, and run Release\vommet.exe. Not code-signed yet: SmartScreen warns the first time ("More info", then "Run anyway"). Built from the same commit on GitHub's Windows runners.

    Known limits

    • Built and tested by CI (including a new launch test, so this kind of crash now fails CI); not hand-tested yet.
    • GIF search returns an error until the proxy gets a Klipy key (#12).
