    Testing build. Expect rough edges. Vommet is an LLM-assisted fork of Commet. Please report problems on this repo's issue tracker, never on Commet's.

    Built from the testing branch at commit 1edc1d7. The Linux and Android files are the ones CI built and tested for this exact commit; the Windows zip was built from the same commit on GitHub's Windows runners. Settings › About shows testing-2026-10-08b.

    New since testing-2026-10-08

    • Discord-style layout (experiment, Settings › Experiments, off by default): spaces and rooms get Discord-style headers and menus, the member list is grouped by who's online and loads as you scroll, panes can be resized, and banners collapse as you scroll.
    • Banner glow setting for how space and room banners blend into the page.
    • Your space order in the sidebar is kept after a restart. Dragging a space to a new place wasn't saved before.
    • Fewer errors when you leave a room while it's still loading.

    Everything from testing-2026-10-08 is included.

    Install

    Linux (Flatpak, x86_64)

    flatpak install --user ./vommet-testing-x86_64.flatpak
flatpak run im.nether.chat

    Android (arm64): download vommet-testing-arm64.apk and open it. It installs as an update.

    Windows (x64): download vommet-testing-windows-x64.zip, unzip it anywhere, and run Release\vommet.exe. Not code-signed yet: SmartScreen warns the first time ("More info", then "Run anyway").

    Known limits

    • Built and tested by CI; not hand-tested yet. The Android call and screen-sharing fixes from 07f still need a real-device check.
    • GIF search returns an error until the proxy gets a Klipy key (#12).
