Requested 2026-10-05. On nether.im, everyone signs in through Nether's single sign-on (Authentik). The username/password fields on Vommet's login screen are pointless for them.

Change (branch feat/sso-first-login)

  • When the homeserver offers single sign-on (m.login.sso), the login screen shows only the "Continue with …" button(s).
  • "Sign in with a password instead" reveals the username/password form, for bot and service accounts. It can be hidden again.
  • Servers without single sign-on show the password form as before.

This uses the existing SSO redirect login, which already works with nether.im. The newer OIDC login that Element X uses is #45

Filed with LLM assistance. This is a fork-only issue; never refile it on Commet's tracker.
