- Slideshows are calmer: the controls and mouse cursor stay hidden while it
runs (the cursor also hides in fullscreen after a moment of stillness),
and images change with a subtle dip-to-black instead of a hard cut.
Manual back/forward stays instant for quick browsing.
- Press + / - during a slideshow to change its speed on the fly.
- With play-through (⇥) on, animated gifs finish their loop before
advancing — short loops repeat until the slideshow delay is filled.
- Space reliably pauses/resumes and shows the controls as feedback, without
also triggering the last-clicked button.
- Video volume and mute are remembered across videos, viewers, and
restarts — a fresh video no longer blasts at full volume.
